Stairs are a necessary component in residencies and businesses and of the most difficult parts in design and construction. Being the building’s element with the highest risk of accidents, the maximum “passive safety” level must be accomplished, without overlooking it’s importance as a design aspect. Thus, the use of different materials and structures results to a combination of safety, comfort and aesthetics for each case individually.
